The film will chart Severiano Ballesteros’ journey (from formative childhood to professional golf) in becoming one of the most iconic and compelling figures not only in golf, but in the world of sport.

The Board and creative team of the production company is led by Stephen Evans, a highly respected UK film producer of 15 feature films, 11 of which have received Oscar nominations, with 2 wins. Stephen’s past credits include “Henry V” with Kenneth Branagh, “The Madness of King George” and “Wings of the Dove”. The team also includes Ivan Ballesteros, Seve’s nephew and former manager and vice president of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, to ensure that both the screenplay and wider film provide an authentic portrayal of his uncle.

The film is scheduled for release in April 2014.
