Alastair Kerr

A 30 year veteran of the securities markets, Ally  began his career with  Hoare Govett in London, where he spent 12 years in institutional broking, rising to partner. Following his departure in 1988, he worked at BZW, and then Salomon Brothers, where  he spent 5 years as head of  UK equity sales. Since 1997, Ally  has been  involved with alternative investments and private equity. Together with a former colleague, he co-founded Beaver Creek, a volatility arbitrage hedge fund. He has also served on the board of a Russian equity hedge fund. Ally was a founding partner of Leopard Rock Capital in 2001.

Julian Chapman

Julian started his career at Merrill Lynch Asset Management, where he spent 6 years managing European equity portfolios. Subsequently he spent 5 years at ABN Amro, where he was a Director of institutional and hedge fund client sales in the European equity division. From 2003 to 2008, Julian was a Director and Partner at a leading London based alternative asset manager, where he was a senior member of the investment team helping manage $4bn in AUM invested with hedge fund managers globally. He joined Leopard Rock Capital in 2009.

Peter Michel

Born and educated in Switzerland, Peter began his career with UBS in Zurich, where he spent 10 years in the derivatives and debt capital markets division in New York and London. He left UBS in 1998 as an Executive Director following the merger with SBC and subsequently held senior positions in capital markets at Greenwich NatWest, Nomura and BNP. Peter was the Executive Director for business development at Unigestion’s family investment office in London, before joining Leopard Rock Capital  in 2010. Peter divides his time between Zurich, and the family home in Hampshire.

Victor Beamish

A founding partner of Leopard Rock Capital in 2001, Victor’s early career was spent in London at Hoare Govett before he moved to Asia where he spent over 20 years in senior positions with firms such as W. I Carr, where he was a managing director. Victor managed ABN Amro’s Asia business from 1995 to 2000. Since 2004, he has been Chairman of Aberdeen Asset Management’s private client business.
