United Kingdom

This is the third fund to be raised by the private equity group of a highly respected London based family office, with substantial AUM and impressive track record. It offers external investors the chance to co-invest and access the deal flow and expertise of the in-house management team. The fund targets investments of between £5mn and £15mn into UK domiciled lower to mid-market private companies, which offer a clear opportunity for an activist investor. The market opportunity for the fund in this part of the market is increasingly attractive, as alternative sources of capital such as AIM or bank finance are either closed or subject to longer and more onerous credit approval cycles. Fund size is £75mn - £100mn, with a first close having already raised £45mn.
